October Empties

For my very first blog post (eek!) I thought I'd start with my beauty empties from last month (from left to right):

1. Benefit They're Real Tinted Primer

As a long time fan of Benefit's They're Real mascara I was super excited to try the primer when it launched last year. It has the same fluttery effect as the mascara but in a softer more natural way with hint of brown tint - perfect for 'no makeup' makeup days. It's also great layered under the mascara to add more oomph and volume, just how I like it!

2. Dior Lip Glow

If anyone was to ask me what one beauty product I would take to a desert island with me this would be it a thousand times over. I first started using this 8 years ago and a rough calculation determines that this is my 14th tube of the stuff so you can be assured that my love for this is very much real! It's a non sticky lip balm that leaves a beautiful pink hue on your lips, which is also completely unique to you as the shade changes based on the ph level of your lips. It's natural and pretty and is perfect for every occasion, and yes I have repurchased one already.

3. Benefit They're Real Mascara (in black)

As mentioned above I've been a fan of this mascara for some time, I do occasionally switch up my mascara but this is a beauty wardrobe staple that I always come back to. I have very straight lashes that need a mascara which helps give them a lift and lengthen which this mascara is perfect at.

4. Charlotte Tilbury The Retoucher Concealer (shade 2)

I'm a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury products but I have a love/hate relationship with this concealer, I really want to love it but I think it's a little too slippery for my combination skin and not as highlighting as I'd imagined it to be (plus the coverage is very sheer). I can imagine this being great on dryer/mature skin types but I much prefer YSL Touche Eclat for highlighting ans Nars Radiant Concealer for better coverage.
